Whats the difference between a vegetable and a fruit
Fruit has seeds in them while vegetables don't. If you didn't know a tomato is a fruit, (cause it has seeds).
Avacados are also fruits- they are classified as a berry along with mangoes!
KickinKays is right. Notice how ALMOST all fruits have seeds on the inside.
Everyone is wrong. There is no specific biological definition of 'vegetable' so you can use that word almost any way you like. If you want to call a tomato both, you cando that correctly.
Scientifically speaking, true fruits are developed from the ovary in the base of the flower, and contain the seeds of the plant. Sometimes it also has something to do with the amount of sugar in the fruit/vegetable. A tomato may be called a vegetable because they're used in savoury cooking rather than sweet coocking.
