What property of a solution remains the same after it is diluted? amount of solvent total volume amount of solute concentration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since we change the volume by diluting a solution (adding water, adding volume) that can't be it. Concentration also changes because concentration depends on volume of solution, and if we add volume, we change the concentration. And it can't be the amount of solvent, because by definition, diluting a solution is adding solvent. So the only property that remains is solute :) if you have 100 grams of NaCl in 1L of water, you will still have 100 grams of NaCl in 10L of water. So the amount of solute stays the same.
