Helping my son. I need the "how to's" of probability. Find the probability of drawing a black 4 thru 8 on the first draw, replacing it and drawing a queen card on the second draw.

OpenStudy (rational):

How many cards are there in a full deck of cards ?

OpenStudy (rational):

How many of them are black?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

52. I think I got it 10/52 X 4/52. Right?

OpenStudy (rational):

You have it ! 10/52 * 4/52 is correct !!

Thanks! I am sorry for being so 7th grade math deficient. This is a great site for those of us who took math back in the dark ages. THANKS!

OpenStudy (rational):

IF you didn't put the card back after first draw, then probability wud be : 10/52 * 4/51

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it.
