Do you know the formula for slope ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its option D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y2-y1/x2-x1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now use this formula to find slope for point ( 6 , 5 ) and ( 3 , 3 ) can you try ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2l3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes . Now you plug in your two points given (6,5) and (3,3) in the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are not right for slope please check it once

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its 2/3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol... use the point slope equation don't make it complicated for him y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didnt mean you were right about the slope i meant the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now we need to use above formula can you try ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im confused now lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-y1=m(x-x1) find the slope and then use which ever point you want and plug them all in the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We are having slope = m = ( 2 / 3 ) and point as ( 3 , 3 ) we need to plug this into y - y1 = m ( x - x1) m = ( 2 / 3 ) ( x1 , y1) = ( 3 , 3 )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y-3=2/3 (×-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually... it's probably smarter to plug the point in \[y_2-y_1=m(x_2-x_1)\] and get m point slope equation is the expand form of \[m= \frac{ y_2-y_1 }{x_2-x_1 }\] once you find the slope plug it back into a point (6,5) or (2,3) and you would get your new equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What? Your confusing me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are right now check options .... for this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see 1 but shoulcnt there be 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could right 2 equation for this using both of the point but they are the same solution, same graph. Both equation is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sk what equatiins

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me your answer and i'll check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y-3=2/3 (×-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know theres another

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you don't need to do both the other one would get through using point (6,5) simplify this Y-3=2/3 (×-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

distribute the 2/3 and add 3 to the other side to put it into slope form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its a and e
