what is the [H3O+] in a solutionof 0.000500M NaOH

OpenStudy (gebooors):

NaOH is diluted to water and [OH-] = 0.000500 M pOH = - log[OH-] = 3.301. Note that you have three significant numbers which are after decimal point in this case. then pH + pOH = 14 (in 25 degrees of C) [H3O+] = 10^(-pH)
