Hello ! Just asking when it says plot Speed/Torque, it means Speed on Y-axis and Torque on X-axis, right ?

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Correct. A plot of speed (y-axis) versus torque (x-axis) is wanted.

Okay thanks ! :) Actually, I'm doing a report >.< On the theory part, It's Speed on x-axis and Torque on Y-axis. I tried googling, it was the same thing >.< but on the Instruction sheet it says plot speed/torque That's why i wasn't sure anymore and so as not to look like an idiot in front of my friends i asked here :P Thank you again

@JadeEyes both graphs can be made

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You mean, speed/torque could be both (i) Speed on x-axis , Torques on Y-axis (ii) Speed on y-axis , Torque on x-axis It's up to me to choose ? o.O

OpenStudy (kropot72):

A search on Google showed that the relationship is very often plotted with speed on the x-axis. Reversal of the axes appears quite common.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay ! Thanks :) I was worried for nothing ^_^

OpenStudy (kropot72):

An explanation of axis orientation is at the following link. It depends on the application. http://www.linengineering.com/contents/stepmotors/pdf/BrushlessDC_Basics.pdf
