@newtoos

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Do you not think that you would feel better if instead of waiting here fro someone else to answer you made a simple effort yourself? the calculation is spelt out in MY answer above - it will take you 20 secs to do it if you can be bothered

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand this stuff at all i haven't used tan its new and my teacher expects us to learn it overnight

OpenStudy (mrnood):

If someone gives the answer you STILL will not have used tan I gave you the way to get the answer in my first reply. TanA = opposite/ hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is opposite stand for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be ?/29

OpenStudy (mrnood):

I am REALLY sorry - I am wrong above! Ignore ALL above posts Tan A = Opposite/adjacent Identify the side which is OPPOSITE to A Identify the side which is adjacent to A (and is NOT the hypotenuse) divide opposite by adjacent to get TanA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is opposite 20 and adjacent 21

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Yes - good now divide them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20/21 would be the answer since all the answer choices are in fraction

OpenStudy (mrnood):

is that one of your options? It is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes 20/21 is an option so is 21/20

OpenStudy (mrnood):

but you have correctly identified the Opposite , and the Adjacent - your answer above is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. Just so you know the guy i tagged messaged me before he gave me the answer on that question and told me how to get to that point then typed the answer in their so i could give him a medal

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Just remember the angle you are dealing with - the Opposite is evidently opposite the angle, the adjacent is the side adjacent but NOT the hypotenuse, and the hypotenuse is the longest side (in your other question a^2+b^c= c^2 c is always the hypotenuse)
