How
\[\int\limits \tan^3\theta*\sec^2\theta*d \theta\]
Simple u sub?
yup, did you try t= tan theta ?
u= tan theta **
u = tantheta, du = sec^2 theta, giving u^3 du = tan^4 theta/ 4, thought it was more complicated than that, and had to do tan^2theta*sec^2 theta* tan theta.
its simple tan^4 theta/ 4+c is correct :)
Alright cool, quick question, would you do a trig sub for x^2/(square root (1-x^2)) ?
yes, trig. subs will simplify things :)
Awesome, thanks Goku.
welcome ^_^
you seem to be new here, \(\Huge \mathcal{\text{Welcome To OpenStudy}\ddot\smile} \) also did you just start learning integration ?
New to the techniques, I always over complicate things though.
i think this might be helpful, sooner or later, can have a look if you want :) http://openstudy.com/users/hartnn#/updates/50960518e4b0d0275a3ccfba
Wow, thanks, is it alright if I copy and paste it on a notepad or something?
