finding the slope of an equation of a line. 2x+3y=8

OpenStudy (atlas):

A standard equation of a line in slope intercept form is y = mx + c where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept. You just need to convert the given equation of line into the above form and find m - the slope

i dont know how to convert it tho .. :/

OpenStudy (atlas):

2x + 3y =8; or 3y = -2x + 8 (I subtracted 2x frm both sides) or y = -(2/3)x + 8/3 (I divided both sides by 3)

so the answer would be 2/3 ?
