calculate the amount in moles of oxygen that is needed to react with 2.4 mole of ammonia to produce poisonous hydrogen cyanide. The chemical equation is 2NH2+3O2+2CH4=>2HCN+6H20. THE ANSWER IS 3.6 MOL OF O2. i need to see the equation we would use

you don't use an equation you just use the ratios given by the balanced chemical equation. You can do this... \[\frac{ 2.4MolNH2 }{ 1 }*\frac{ 3MolO2 }{ 2MolNh2 }\] the Mol Nh2 will cancel out and you will get 3.6 mol O2
