Shelly has a terrarium on her windowsill containing various houseplants. She wonders why the edges of the leaves often have water droplets. What could be the reason for this? photosynthesis transpiration adhesion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Transpiration. The underside of the leaves have stomata, regulated by guard cells. plants use the process of transpiration to draw water from its roots all the way up to their leaves. In the process, water is also drawn due cohesion-adhesion property and capillary action. However, transpiration plays a major role in moving water up to the leaves. And as water water reaches the stomata, condensation occurs, leaving droplets at the edges.
