I don't recall anything about correlation coefficients. But at least, if you ordered these values by time (independent), you would see the relationship between members of time and distance: 1, 1,060 2, 1,000 3, 940 4, 880 . . . . From there we just need to understand what the correlation coefficient is telling us.
