What is the degree measure of an angle of -(pi/6 radians)?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

\[-\left( \frac{ 180° }{ 6 } \right)\]

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

remember that pi = 180°

OpenStudy (ranga):

Radians to Degrees: Multiply by 180 / pi Degrees to Radians: Multiply by pi / 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I had to do something. So if I did this right, the degree measure is -30 degrees. Is that right? @nincompoop @ranga

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thats correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks Lonnie! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

one way to remember the unit circle. is that pi is at 180. and 30 is 1/6 of 180 and you go around 30 degrees at a time going 1/6, 2/6,3/6,4/6,5/6,6/6 with pi placed respectively

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh wow that makes it seem so much easier!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it goes all the way around. and it works the same for the 45s
