.You roll a number cube numbered one to six 12 times. P(5) = two over three. What type of probability is illustrated and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.experimental; the result is based on the number of possible outcomes 2.experimental; the result is found by repeating an experiment 3.theoretical; the result is based on the number of possible outcomes 4.theoretical; the result is found by repeating an experiment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is not theoretical, as P(5) = 1/6 in theory. Either ans. #1 or #2. Which?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you mean p(5) with certain times in a row, by a certain roll, or what? p(5) for a dice is always 1/6, unless the die is not fair

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The more times you roll the die, the closer p(5) is to (1/6). If you roll is 12 times, it may only be (1/12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure it #2 i just wanna make sure im right. probability is a hard subject for me :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 looks good, as this is an experimental outcome

ok thank you!
