OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Find the Slope: A. 1/2 B. 2 C. -2 D. -1/2

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the slope of?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of what?

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@jdoe0001

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rise over run how many units does it rise and how many does it run put it in fraction form

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

pick any two points on the line, let's see if we can get the slope by just getting 2 points from it

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Is it C?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the points? there's no point "c" pick any 2 points from the line, let's see if we can get the slope from 2 points in it

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Is the answer C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are riseing 2 and runing 1 so 2/1 = 2

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@Hero

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@iambatman

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you do what @jdoe0001 asked you to?

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

I dont know what he means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use any two points on the line, like (1,0) and (0,2). Then use m = y2-y2/x2-x1

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

(-1,4) (2,-2) those points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so use rise/run, \[m=\frac{ y _{2}-y_{1} }{ x _{2}-x _{1} }\] where m represents your slope.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

-1 - 2, 4 - -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so slope is rise over run. you rise 2 run 1. So you have 2/1 that is equal to 2. I think that is b
