In the water cycle, water is in the form of a _____ after it evaporates. a. gas b. solid c. liquid d. all three
Well, what answer(s) do you know is definitely wrong?
Is c the answer because the other don't make sense to me?
I must tell you that you are wrong. In the water cycle yes, you have the normal liquid state of water. But when left in a freezer for a period of time, the liquid state of water will become ice, which is a solid. Now lets say that you leave a pot on the stove to boil. After it begins to seethe, then a substance called steam rises out, creating a gas. Now evaporation is when, for example, you poured water on the sidewalk on a hot summer day. If you were to return later, you might find that this water is no longer there. This is because it has evaporated. It started as a liquid, so it did not become liquid again, or it would still be there on the sidewalk. Which means that it is a solid or a gas (I have never heard of a substance that is all three forms). What can you infer that this liquid on the pavement has become after it evaporated?
gas
