Write one number which fits all three of these statements . It is a multiple of 4 . It is a multiple of 6 . It ends in 8 .

what unit and lesson are you on..

OpenStudy (grace111):

does this number fit " 108 " ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4n=r, 6m=r, r mod 10 = 8. The most straightforward approach is to just let n=0, 1, 2, ... and m = 0, 1, 2, ... and see where 4n=6m are equal and end in 8.

I don't think there is any clever way to solve this, other than brute-force.
