If log65=1.812, what is the value of log 1000^65 ? A. 0.00182 B. 0.604 C. 0.0604 D. 0.1812

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkhunny ?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

\(\log(1000) = 3\) 65*3 = 195 This causes me to wonder if I have the right problem statement.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that isn't one of the options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tgawade any idea on what the answer could be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

using if loga^b = b * loga

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we will get log65 /3* log10 so just plug values & simplify we know that values of log65 is 1.812 & log10 is 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you get ?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Is that it?? We have: \(\log_{10}(65) = 1.812\) We want: \(\log_{1000}(65) =\;??\)

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

MUST work on the notation. positions mean things. Some things are arguments (65). Some things are notations (1000). Writing in line in this forum just is not the same as printing in a book. You have to think about what you write and make sure you mean what you write.
