"Magnetic fields are produced by electric currents, which can be macroscopic currents in wires, or microscopic currents associated with electrons in atomic orbits" It is my understanding this statement suggests there is no known mechanism for a magnetic field to exist in the absence of a moving electric charge. My question is this; Light seems to produce a small magnetic field. How is light related to a moving electric charge? Or is light a moving electric charge? I would like to know how light and its magnetism compares to the above quoted statement? Thanks in advance.
When an electrical light is working (ON), an electric current passes through a wire, and a circular magnetic field is created...

Light is a wave generated by an alternating electric field that generates an alternating magnetic field that generates and alternating electric field etc. Statement did not say "only produced by..."
