awww thanks for fanning me :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
The arrow is making a mirror image over the line that's why its called a reflection.

Which choice shows a 90° counterclockwise rotation of the figure about the point P?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
It's C
OpenStudy (anonymous):
A 90 degree turn is halfway around.

You are turning halfway around the point.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Thanks
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You keep saying thank you and I will continue to say you are welcome and it's really no problem.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Which choice correctly shows the line of reflection of the figure?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay now think about what I said earlier. A reflection is a mirror image so which choice makes a perfect mirror image?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
thanks
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What type of transformation is shown?
A.
rotation of 90°
B.
rotation of 180°
C.
reflection over a horizontal line
D.
reflection over a vertical line
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I just wanted to say I was wrong about what I said earlier, a 90 degree turn would be a fourth of a turn, a 180 degree turn is half of a turn, and a 360 degree turn is a full turn. This is reflection over a horizontal line.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thank you

What angle is congruent to L?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
D, congruent means the same. If you flip the second triangle and line it up with the first L and W are the same angle.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thanks
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What segment is congruent to ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay the same thing I just said not only applies to angles but also to line segments. Do you think you know what the answer is?

b?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Nope, flip the triangle first in your head and put the two triangles on top of each other.
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which figure does not appear to be congruent to this one?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
B, congruent means identical if you flip the other triangles they are identical but the small one will never match perfectly with the original.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thanks
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What is the length of ?

Pair up one triangle with the other... when you line them up, you get angle S and F on top of each other. So angle S is 69 degrees.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thank you
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep. Just think about it before you ask me. These aren't as hard as you think....
OpenStudy (anonymous):
your right thanks
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yep anytime.
