@JAXXDP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sleepyjess & @johnweldon1993 please help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that the 2 one is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And the third one is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just need help with the first one and the last one :)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Oh okay lol... Well for the first one... How many students sold LESS than 20 hoagies?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do u mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

So for example...you knew that the total number of kids in the class...was 28 right? Ahh nvm...yes 7 students sold less than 20 hoagies

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

that is 7 students..out of the 28 total students

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

\[\large \frac{7}{28} = ?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i have to subtract that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh divide?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.025

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so the first one is B right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the last one would be a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So: B D C A

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

No, when you are looking for a perent...you just divide the number that you want...over the number total you have For example...say you want to know the percent chance you flip heads on a coin Well 1 tail....1 head.....so 2 possible outcomes that we have....but only 1 we want...so \[\large \frac{1}{2} = .50\] Sorry went off on a tangent there... And yes the first one would be B correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh becasue johonybot just said it is ACDB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it B D C A?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Sorry to say johnnybot is incorrect... If First one was A ...40 percent of the class sold less that 20 hoagies... If 7 sold them out of the total 28 kids that is 25 percent of the class B D C A it is
