The surface area of a triangular pyramid is 375.2 m2. What would change if the surface area were measured in square centimeters?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. The surface area of the pyramid would decrease. B. The surface area of the pyramid would increase. C. The surface area of the pyramid would stay the same, but the number representing the surface area would decrease. D. The surface area of the pyramid would stay the same, but the number representing the surface area would increase.

OpenStudy (jack1):

surface area wouldn't change, just the units that represent it would

OpenStudy (jack1):

as cm^2 is smaller than m^2, pretend it's a table (easier to picture in ur head) if a table is 1m wide x 2m long, then the table top area is 1 x 2 = 2m^2 that same table is 100cm wide x 200 cm long = 20, 000 cm^2 Area... so if u drop the measurement down to sqre cm's, then the number will greatly increase, even though 2m^2 = 20,000 cm^2 (so area stays the same)

OpenStudy (jack1):

does that make sense?

@SonicRomance15 ...?

sorry about that
