You want to buy a $97 T-Shirt but you have no money, so you ask $50 from your mom and $50 from your dad, you buy the shirt and you are left over with $3, you give $1 to your mom and $1 to your dad and you stay with $1, now if you owe your mom $49 and you owe your dad $49 also, you add the $49+$49=$98, then you add the $1 that you stayed with, that equals $99 correct? now were is the $1 left that you need, to complete the $100??? Some one pleas help me with this question!!!!

$97 divided by two is $48.50, add 1 dollar, is 49.50, then you have one dollar left over, 49.50*2 = $99

I don't understand the way you rewrote my question and that wasn't my purpose, if you try to answer the question EXACTLY the way I WROTE IT,there wouldn't be no answer, or as far as i know it hasn't been answered correctly

Hahahahahahaha, before i explain this as simply as i possibly can, just promise me you wont reproduce, Ok, so your starting off with $100.00, 50 from your mum, 50 from your dad, now, heres where you went wrong in your calculations, $97.00 divided by 2 is $48.50, not $48.00, which you were assuming it was. Now, if you add on $1.00 to each, it is $49.50, times 49.50 by 2 and you get $99.00, leaving the one dollar left. Check your calculations before you make yourself look stupid.
