What is the slope of a line perpendicular to the line with equation y = 5x – 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope of the equation y = mx + b is 'm', so slope of y = 5x - 2 is 5. Products of slopes of perpendicular lines is -1. So if 'm' is the slope of the perpendicular line, 5m = -1.

We also call it the negative reciprocal...take the reciprocal and change the sign of m (m=5 as @navk mentioned)...

Perpendicular lines have negative reciorpicals that means you flip the fraction around and multiply by a negative. So you have to find the negative reciorpicals of the slope which in this case is 5 so the answer would be 1/5 negative following?
