A line passes through the points (-10,-4) and (-1,2) What is the y-intercept of the line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the point-slope formula for a line is \[y-y_{1}=m(x-x_{1})\]\[m=\frac{ y_{2}-y_{1} }{ x_{2}-x_{1} }\] Use the two given points to get m, then use m and one of the points (doesn't matter which) in the point-slope formula and solve for y. The non x-term (the constant) is the y-intercept.

just to add that constant will be 8/3

Thanks :)
