Anyone found swapping answers for Connections academy(or any other school) will simply be suspended. Those found giving out answers will also be considered equally guilty.
Ok o-o
how do you know ?
"How do you know?" Kindly read (or review) the Code of Conduct: http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct
I amon k12
Erm. What does that mean?
Does Connections Academy mean online classes?
Oh. Never mind.
He means that if you are home schooled virtually and your caught exchanging answers for anything you will be suspended along with the person your helping or getting help from
So you can't give answers to online class problems?
http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/537ed523e4b098b1daf49671 Would this be illegal?
no you are to help lead the person to the answer by a path not a straight answer
that is consider against the rules and now that youve said that anytime you see someone doing this you report the asker of the question and the answer if they give a straight answer
Ohhh. So you can give answers to Connections Academy, but you have to show work. Alright.
no i am not a snitch
No no no you have to lead the person to the answer like in math give them a formula they can use and help them if they dont understand what to do and lead them to the edge of the answer and then they must figure it out them selves from there or else turn around and try to make it easier for them.
@swagzillaa im not saying you have to but its the right thing to do this is not answers.com this is Open Study we are here to help you study openly and not to give you a straight answer.
okay thanks
anytime
Oh wow, I actually didn't know what connections academy was as well. But wouldn't this 'question' also be against the code of conduct, since it isn't a question? :)
No it wouldnt cause its a Mod who posted it they are allowed to post like this this Mod has done it before but last year around the same time as now so they are fine to do this.
That's sort of hypocrisy, since they're kinda abusing their authority
no they arent they are letting the public on the site know that there is a punishment for cheating on here.
And isn't the rules being in the code of conduct enough for that? They could just put it in there that online schools shouldn't cheat instead of taking up the 'open questions' space when it isn't a question. Or, even better, put it on the home page. This is still against the rules, moderator or not, and it's being a poor role model. :(
It actually does say that could tell you exactly where but it says that in the code of conduct.
OpenStudy values the Learning process - not the ‘Give you an answer’ process Don’t post only answers - guide the asker to a solution. Have homework problems? We can help you - as long as you are looking to learn how to get your solution (and not just the answer). Please do not copy and paste your problems. If people are going to spend time to help you, you should at least spend the time to ask your question as clearly as possible. Don't devalue the question/answer process! Don't provide someone with just the answer - explain the process, and help guide them through understanding the problem. Don't just provide the answer to a problem when someone else is in the middle of helping! But if you want to help, by all means, join in!
Yes, so you agree with me that this is wasting space when it isn't a question? "Posting questions that are not, in fact, questions (for example, starting a question in the Mathematics group to wish someone "Happy Birthday")."
nope i dont agree at all heres a part that talks about respecting the Mods Finally, if you do make a mistake, please be respectful to the moderators. Moderators are the users whose names are in purple. If you go outside the code of conduct, one of them will likely contact you. If they do, listen to what they have to say and be polite. If you are issued a temporary suspension because of a Code of Conduct violation, just wait until your suspension is expired. Go read a book, throw a football, unwind, and come back when the suspension is over. If you create new accounts to bypass a suspension, you will be permanently banned from the site. No questions asked. If you are permanently banned, or you feel you did not deserve a suspension that you were issued, feel free to email abuse@openstudy.com to discuss your suspension with one of the OpenStudy team members.
Yes, I'm just saying @AravindG is being a poor role model. I'm not disrespecting them, since I've never broken a Code of Conduct. I am, however, allowed to speak my opinion when it is not being rude, and that is what I am doing.
No hes not hes being a great role model
By going against his/her own rules?
he/she is not breaking her own rules.
