ok. so the easiest way to do these types of problems is to factor it out completely. the top would be sqrt(3*2*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*x*y*y*y*y*y*y*y*y*y) you then do the same to the bottom of the equation. sqrt(5*x*x*y*y*y*y) you can then eliminate.
problem is I don't think that that is the type of answer they want based on the answer choices given... just a second.
yeah!!! its working!!! but for how long -_- okay... so when you eliminate in the equations you would get sqrt(6x^6y^5)/sqrt(5) you then have to get rid of the radical in the denominator.
to get rid of the radical in the denominator you have to multiply the entire fraction by a fraction that would make the denominator a perfect square. \[\frac{ \sqrt{6x ^{2}y ^{5}} }{ \sqrt{5} }\times \frac{ \sqrt{5} }{ \sqrt{5}}\]
it is supposed to be \[\frac{ \sqrt{6x ^{6}y ^{5}} }{ \sqrt{5} }\times \frac{ \sqrt{5} }{ \sqrt{5}}\] you would then get \[\frac{ \sqrt{30x ^{6}y ^{5}} }{ 5 }\]
so it would be D none :o
exactly. if I'm wrong I have no idea what they want because as far as I know you can't reduce that any further.
