OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
first get the circumference
C = 2(radius)(pi) = ?
then 12ft -> 144in
144 divided by Circumference = (number of revolutions)
then (number of revolutions) times (2pi) = (answer)
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
erm distance covered divided by circumference gives number of revolutions it took to go that distance
there are 2pi radians per 1 revolution
OpenStudy (anonymous):
wait what? so after i solve for the circumference, i then get 81.64in. right? what do i do next?
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
144 divided by circumference
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so i got 1.76..

is that still the circumference?
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
times 2pi
OpenStudy (anonymous):
5.52
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
1.76 would be the number of revolutions
then revolutions times 2pi = radians
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
I don't think 1.76 times 2 times pi = 5.52... try again?

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
11.077 might be closer but yeah :)
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
that's it ^_^
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so 11.06 is the answer?

I think so :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
oook.. how about this one?
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
idk how them latitude degrees works, o.o sorry :/
how about asking it in a separate question post to see if anyone else can help
OpenStudy (anonymous):
im pretty sure that its close to the other one... can you try?
OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):
mk... I'll try but I might be wrong.
first find the circumference = 2(radius)(pi) = ?
