. 8. What evidence exists that eukaryotic organisms share a common ancestor with prokaryotic organisms?
A. formation of the nucleus by endocytosis of genetic material B. existence of mitochondria as a unicellular organelle C. presence of circular DNA within mitochondria D. vertical gene transfer of DNA between cells I think its A but im not sure.
@Destinymasha could you help me with a few questions. I have five I am unsure about for a study guide
It wouldn't be A because that's not how a nucleus forms. The best choice would be C because prokaryotic organisms have circular DNA as their main DNA but the fact that the mitochondria of eukaryotes has circular DNA shows evidence that they share a common ancestor.
Thank you so much! I didn't even think about that! Could you possibly check the other four questions I have that I am unsure about?
the first one is this.17. The hydrophobic heads of phospholipid bilayers repel polar molecules and make direct diffusion across the cell membrane all but impossible. By which process would polar molecules enter the cell? A. facilitated diffusion B. osmosis C. passive transport D. active transport I think the answer is D. Active Transport
