I think @goformit100 is just being typical.
@Miracrown Ma'am please understand the feeling of people like us who are weak at mathematics. Please Ma'am.
Can we discuss on the question I posted ?
Here's an example of why carry-over subtraction works. You can normally subtract \(27 - 13\) using the primitive subtraction method.|dw:1400322963670:dw| This works because you write \(27 - 13\) as \((20 + 7) - (10+3)\) and then \((20 - 10) + (7 - 4)\). Carry-over subtraction is when you need to do this.|dw:1400323093659:dw|What you do is you "carry" the next place value. Why does this work?\[27 - 18\]\[= (20+7) - (10 + 8)\]\[= (20 - 10) + (7 - 8)\]\[= (10 + 10 - 10) + (7 -8)\]\[= (10 - 10) + (10 + 7 - 8)\]\[= 0 + (17 - 8)\]
