What are some foods that are products of algae? Please help for medal! I can't find it anywhere!!
Algae, seaweed, nori, kaiso, agar agar, miuk, carrageen, Irish moss, spirulina, tecuilatl: vitamin rich edible gifts from the sea. Consumed from prehistoric times forward, culinary applications depend upon place/period/people. Algae as human food deserves special consideration because it serves both ends of the human culinary spectrum: starvation food and culinary art. Fascinating!
I meant, what are some regular household food items (like bread, milk, crackers) that have algae in it? @vhalliwill
It doesn't even have to be food, but household products, I guess like certain face washes and cleansers and things.

@foreverjennnicole that help?
Yes ma'am! I got all my answers from google too but just couldn't find a few more. I just found out I have to identify the type of algae that goes with each item.... ughhh. But thanks so much for the help :)
i can give you the links i found stuff. hold on.
Most of the foods don't have algae in them. They have products that come from algae. A very common additive is carrageenan. It is used to give things like ice cream, chocolate milk, yogart, etc the smooth, "creamy" consistency people like.
Carrageenan is from a red algae, btw.

Yes, I know most of the foods I named were from red algae or brown algae, Carrageenan and Phaeophyta... I don't know about the other products I listed though. Thanks @Jennjuniper!
