Which volume of 2.0 M NaOH(aq) is needed to completely neutralize 24 milliliters of 1.0 M HCl(aq)?

OpenStudy (gebooors):

In neutralization, first you need a reaction equation: NaOH (aq) + HCl (aq) -> NaCl(aq) + H2O(l) (1). (2) You see, equal amounts of acid and base Neutralizes each other. Because n= c x V, you solve from equation c1 v1 = c2 V2 Volume V1. You can use millilitres in this calculation.
