OpenStudy (rawr25):

I need help with four biology questions that I can't seem to find the answers to anyone willing to help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes?

OpenStudy (rawr25):

Do you just want me to write them all in here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Go for it. I'll try my best to help you :) I'm in Honors Inq. Biology, not AP Biology, but our EOC is coming up so I've been studying a lot

OpenStudy (rawr25):

1. What effect would a volcanic eruption have on the sky and sun? 2. Given what you know about photosynthesis, how would this affect plants' ability to carry out photosynthesis? 3. What could be done to increase photosynthesis in a situation like this? 4. What other events might prevent sunlight from reaching Earth? How might this affect all life on Earth?

OpenStudy (rawr25):

I'm homeschooled and my teachers don't help me at all are give us information for stuff like this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol these are like really weird questions... Maybe the ash would pollute the sky, making it foggy and harder for plants to hardness the sun's rays?

OpenStudy (rawr25):

Lol yeah that's why I figured to come on here and ask because they make no sense at all and we didn't even learn about this yet in the class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry :( this is what I would say: 1. The dense ash would block the sun's rays on Earth, as ash would build up in the atmosphere 2.Photosynthesis is the harnessing of the sun's rays through the atmosphere, and with no rays, there is less or no photosynthesis 3. Maybe the plants could develop slower metabolisms to consume the energy they have harnessed slower. 4. Maybe if there was so much pollution that the sun rays were blocked, and then no photosynthesis.

OpenStudy (rawr25):

That's ok at least I have something to give to my teacher lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good luck! Hope you teacher doesn't mark you down for something you didn't learn haha

OpenStudy (rawr25):

Lol thanks and I hope she doesn't either
