How do you find the formula from graph coordinates (no specific examples)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can find the equation of a line by using the point-slope formula:\[y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

using a point on the line and solving for the slope:\[\frac{ \Delta y }{ \Delta x } = m\] and using that point in the point-slope formula and solving you will arrive at the slope-intercept form which will be \[y = mx+ b\]
