hm you generally need an equation for the process, but since you're not changing any atoms, the mass stays the same. note \(NO_2\) is 1 N and 2 O's, while \(N_2O_4\) is double the atoms, but the mass cant be more nor less.

yeah, so the amount of moles is decreasing by half, but the mass is constant.
