How do you solve this complex number equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[|z ^{2}-9i|=16|\frac{ 1 }{ i }-\frac{ 9 }{ z ^{2} }|\]

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\LARGE\color{blue}{ \bf ±(z^2-9i)=16(\frac{1}{i}-\frac{9}{z^2}) }\)makes sense to re-write it like this, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it's modulus

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Wait, I thought it's absolute value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No sadly xD

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

dang:) I actually never learned that. surprisingly. I solved even higher level problems like calc 1,2,3 but I have some empty spaces in my knowledge -:(
