OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

P=4 because when x=0 y=4 and y=Pa^x , so a^0=1 and y=P, and P=4 as I said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand that where x=0 y=4 but when solving for P how did you get 4 by subbing it back into that equation? Sorry I'm not understanding

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Loser66

OpenStudy (loser66):

brb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

just see the graph and if you take x=0 then y=4 so 4 = P * a^0 everything in the power of 0 is 1 so 4=P*1 4=P

OpenStudy (loser66):

got it? still need help? I think @arbershabani97 gave you the perfect explanation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of if I use (-2,2) for the second part I'm confused on putting that into the equation. 2=P*a^-2? way off?

OpenStudy (loser66):

hey (-2,2) is not on the graph

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

you should use what is more convenient there, so you won't have many problems

OpenStudy (loser66):

I saw (2,7) is ok. try it. forget (-2,2) !!! it's not qualify !! you cannot use the money which is not from your pocket hehehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My bad that was a major fail! 7=P*a^2? Or no?

OpenStudy (loser66):

plug P = 4 into it also

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

you should just try what is easier and what works for you, maybe if you try other values it won't work, I'm not very sure, but be happy with what you have :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a=1.3329?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does (-1,3) work? a=4/3

OpenStudy (loser66):

i got 1.3228

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

@Loser66 is right i got 1.3228 also, because 7=4*a^2 \[a=\sqrt{7/4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you both for your help!

OpenStudy (arbershabani97):

you're welcome
