if u look at the equation, there are 2 halogens as you should be knowing electronegativity in group 7 of periodic table decreases down the group right? it means in reaction if there are 2 halogens more electronegative halogen will displace less electronegative halogen so in your equation Cl is one of the halogens and it reacts with a compound that has Br right? so now take a look at periodic table Br is below Cl right? and as we said earlier, electronegativity decrease as we go down the group right? so that means Cl is more electronegative than Br right? and again as i mentioned earlier more electronegative will displace less electronegative, thus Cl will displace Br :) so according to this information how would you call this reaction now?
