Could someone see if my answer is correct?
Hello
HINT: Use Sines or Cosines for this question.
\(PQ^{2}=RP^{2}+RQ^{2}-2\times RP\times RQ\times cosR\)
That's what I did.
I end up with cos^-1 (1.20)
Then when I put that on the calculator, I don't have any answer.
it cannot be \(1.2\) because the biggest cosine can be is 1
Hey @satellite73 I need your help on this. I already started but I don't have the right answer.
\(cosR=\frac{529}{1239}\)
Are you looking for the degree outside the triangle or inside?
It's looking for the measurement of the angle to the nearest degree.
@JungHyunRan it's that 520/1220?
Answer is: 65 degrees. :)
How though?
Quick calculator. I'll try to find the steps for you though. :) Hold on. http://ostermiller.org/calc/triangle.html
I got it now, I tried it.
529/1239
@JungHyunRan I got 43/413
@Blank I have one more question.
Sure
@Blank you there lol.
Yeah, this one is tricky.
We're looking for AC, I think it might be 18 because that's what's between. I'm not sure.
Funny thing is that it has to be equaled to 18. You don't have a choice like that. Maybe the choices or pic has a typo. The triangle is an equilateral.
Never mind, the triangle is almost equilateral. The side is probably 17.7
Answer is A. 17.7
sorry I'm late
It could be @Blank are you satisfied with that answer lol..
@blank I have probably two more questions.
Or one.
Hey @Blank
Sorry, Yeah I'm here.
Answer is 68.6 m
Yes! I was correct.
Alright, last one for tonight.
Yes, How do you know when to use the Law of Sines or the Law of Cosines to solve a triangle? Generally, the Law of Cosines is used when SSS or ASA are known. The Law of Sines is used when SAS or AAA are known. Generally, the Law of Cosines is used when SSS or SAS are known. The Law of Sines is used when ASA or AAS are known. Hope that helps. :)
Got my info from: http://illuminations.nctm.org/Lesson.aspx?id=2441 Bottom of the page. :)
Hey man, I really appreciate your help. I passed the quiz.
Nice, Good to hear. :)
I'm going to work on my World Geography, but if you don't mind if I could message you tomorrow to help me with some more?
Only the questions that I don't know.
Or having trouble on.
What time will you be on time?
Ha, believe me too man. This year is a struggle. What grade you in?
Alright, just message me when you're on.
Trying to graduate early ha? I'm in 10th.
Goodnight
