With?

If x+2/2=y+9/9, then x/2=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, first you have to figure out what y+9/9 is to know what x+2/2 is. Do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noo:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Answer choices are y/2 y/9 y+9 y-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hold on, sorry. I'm figuring it out. lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok haha thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This IS pretty tricky. I would say y/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could you help with a couple more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! And thanks for the medal! lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure. I can try.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem.

A grid shows the positions of a subway stop and your house. the subway stop is located at (-3,6) and your house is located at (-7,2) what is the distance, to the nearest unit, between your house and the subway stop?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does it show a graph, or is it just a word problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just a word problem!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Well then I guess we'll have to make a graph. Can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just make a graph on a piece of paper that goes up to 8 by 2s. It needs to have 4 quadrants, and x,y axis's.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Once when you finish that, just match up the coordinates where they belong on the graph. (-3,6), the -3 is on the -x axis. So you will have to go and find the negative 3 on the line going straight across that I put at -x, and then find the positive 6 and put down the coordinates. Then do it for the second coordinate set.
