how many liters of 4 M solution can be made using 10 moles of lithium bromide LiBr?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

do you know what the "M" in "4 M" stands for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a 4 M solution is basically that in every 1 litre of solution....4 moles of the substance are present.... \[Molarity=moles/litre\] therefore...in 1 litre...there are 4 moles in 10 litres...there are (10/4) moles=2.5 moles

thanks

OpenStudy (aaronq):

"in 10 litres...there are (10/4) moles=2.5 moles" you mean with 10 moles you can make 2.5 L.
