dear anyone, help me: The weight of an object on Planet A and the weight of the same object on the Planet B are proportional. An astronaut who weighs 160 pounds on Planet A weighs 26.7 pounds on Planet B. What is the weight of a person if they weigh 25.2 pounds on the Planet B?

OpenStudy (marissalovescats):

For this we will set up a proportional, because like stated, they are proportional. When you set it up though, you have to have sides corresponding. Planet A has to be consistent in the numerator or in the denominator, it doesn't matter which you choose. Just has to correspond. We are solving for x, AKA now much does a person weigh on planet A if h e is 25.2 pounds on planet B
