I am good in physics, so which engineering stream suits me most??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

engineering physics or computer engineering.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mechanic engineering can be broad, depending on interest. u can engineer cars, but can also go to advanced engineering like rocket science

OpenStudy (mikurout):

Join in civil engineering , if u are good in mechanics.

WelcomE to OpeN StudY !! SweeT FrienD !! @Pritamdas.57 Hmm, You too like me... well, i would say Engineering physics is a better option. Engineering Physics students develop a thorough understanding of fundamentals of physics and the application of this knowledge to practical problems. This background prepares them for careers in engineering, applied science or applied physics with positions in industry, national research laboratories, universities or even as scientific entrepreneurs. Unfortunately in India for Engineering, there is no course been so far which deals only with Engineering Physics alone ! For most of the streams they have included this either for one semester/one year or just two semester/second year of the 4 year B.E/B.Tech Programmes.. In case if you are interested in knowing basic principles behind Instruments along with the physics related used in measurements and other, you can go for Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or the Mechanical Engineering. Both have same papers except for five different papers from the core part. Instrumentation engineering also have a good role in designing instruments, mostly based on electrical and physical properties of various phenomena like designing of measuring devices, tuning of oscilloscopes etc. If you like computers and would like to involve in it with physics then, its better to go for Communication Engineering related to branches. it deals with papers shared from IT, Computer Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering. It's vast but it just simplifies candidates exposure to great extent in deep knowledge of subjects. Well, If not interested in Any of the Above, you can go for Nuclear physics/Astrophysics etc. for further readings ref: http://www.worldwidelearn.com/online-education-guide/science/physics-major.htm HopE if U aRe SatisfieD with ThiS AnsweR, PleAsE ClosE ThiS QuestioN !! ThanK YoU !! KeeP In ToucH WitH OpeN StuDy !!

OpenStudy (primeralph):

Depends on the parts of physics you're interested/proficient in.

OpenStudy (koikkara):

IMPORTANT: In India, Make Sure You join Institute which Have a UGC/AICTE approval as the subjects are prepared by the council of engineers. Certificates having this approval will only be allowed to carry out higher study and research options, as per new rule of the council, which was passed out in 2012. Just a piece of experience..

OpenStudy (abb0t):

electrical engineering. it has the most applied math, which is essentially physics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mechanical engineering...it has plenty physics.
