we know that for any point P(x,y) on the unit circle, it must be true that x^2 + y^2 = 1 . so you can test this is it true that .8^2 + .6^2 = 1 ?

yes that is true, .64 + .36 = 1 what about the next one (sqrt(3)/2) ^2 + ( 1/3)^2
