OpenStudy (harsha19111999):
4 th one
OpenStudy (harsha19111999):
how means multiply mn can produce p chairs while 1*1 can produce X chairs X=p/mn
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
m days ------ n workers ------- p chairs
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
m days ------ 1 worker -------- p/n chairs
1 day --------1 worker --------- p/(mn) chairs

yw :) notice that the number of chairs you can produce will reduce if any of the two variables are decreased - days / workers
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
which also makes sense intuitively -
if u have fewer days, u can produce fewer chairs only
if u have fewer workers, u can produce fewer chairs only

\(\large \text{# of chairs } \propto \text{ # of days}\)
\(\large \text{# of chairs } \propto \text{ # of workers}\)
