Your teacher puts the names of all the students on pieces of paper and puts them in a box. A student comes up and picks a name, reads it, then puts the paper back in the box. Another student comes up and picks another name from the box. Is this event dependent or independent?

luckily youve got Dodlum Master to help you with this one

@idekanymore Independent. This is because the odds of the second drawing are not related and dependent on the first drawing. There is no qualification that says a different name then the first one. That would be an AND statement if we said it; pick a name, replace it in the box, AND draw a different name. The way it is written I think we could say, pick a name, replace it in the box, draw the same name as the first OR a new name.

Another easily discernible paragraph of verbosity my friend...i sure as heck didnt understand pellet but im sure it makes sense lol

@PRAETORIAN.10 Yes, my stupid autocorrect and pellet in place of protein. I didn't notice that one and it was very confusing, I admit. I wish there was a better way for visual things here. Some of these things work so much better with nice, visual aides.
