How do I solve for W? V= 1/3LWh Is there a formula I'm supposed to know? :)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

\(V = \dfrac{1}{3}LWh\) You want to solve for W. That means you want W by itself. You need to divide both sides by any number or variable that multiplies W. You need to multiply both sides by any number or variable that W is being divided by.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solving for W means to isolate W on it's own, meaning you want W by itself. It just requires some algebra. \[V=\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }LWH \] Solving for w, Multiply both sides by 3, so you cancel it out on the right ride. \[3V=LWH\] Now just divide by l and h \[W = \frac{ 3V }{ LH }\]
