Any opinions about the following passage? How and Why?
I. Passage : Psalm 34:1-10 NASB I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul will make its boast in the LORD; the humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces will never be ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him and rescues them. O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear teh LORD, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. II. Preface : This psalm begins with a personal testimony from its author. Here, readers are invited to join in praise to God. In verse 7 we are told that the Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear God. This is confirmed in several stories through out the Old Testament such as Joshua 5 and Judges 6. The remainder of this psalm discusses good characteristics that believers should have and emphasizes leaving evil and doing good. There is also a special emphasis on seeking God and the ultimate source for life's provisions. III. Pause to Ponder : This week, consider other ways that you can press in closer to God. Is there something you can give up to help come with another 10 minutes that you can devote to reading your Bible? Spend time simply praising God this week for his provisions in your life (no matter how great or small). What other ways can you demonstrate your affection for God? IV. Prayer Focus : Say a prayer that is nothing but praise, similar to this psalm, where you do not ask God for anything.

It's not mine haha but my teacher gave me the following passage, Keep a reflection journal based on the assigned scripture passage in the Devotion section. There are many ways to do this. You may ask questions that need clarification. You may discuss a topic you found interesting or compelling or relate it to a personal experience. In some way, engage the readings. Write approximately 2-3 paragraphs. At the end of the course, you will submit a Final Reflection Journal on your thoughts and experiences throughout the course for a grade. This grade will be based upon the amount of thought and effort that went into the entries, the quality of the writing, and the degree to which you read and engaged the readings

LOL why didn't you tell me before...=P
I thought I typed that in that paragraph lol
Ah, I didn't notice LOL
Jesstho.-. here it says following paragraph, where is the paragraph ?
The initial definition of "fear" is conscious or aware. and that's the definition that should be used in "Fear the Lord thy God". In the Old Testament it say's man is created in God's image, which means during a mans life he creates an image of God within from his experiences. Christ said it a little different, "I could do nothing except that the Father shows me first", this is why we are responsible for what we do and say to other people. Do not pervert an other's path.
