Can somebody please help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with a question, yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

With what? (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is a practice problem, but i do not get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What math?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like what class are you in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using the image below, find the y value for the point that divides the line segment CD into a ratio of 4:1.]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

looks like the length of the line segment is \(\sqrt{4^2+5^2}=\sqrt{41}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh the \(y\) coordinate from \(1\) to \(6\) is \(5\) units up to make it \(4:1\) go up \(4\) units to \(5\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a)2 b)6.2 c)3 d)2.8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And what am I supposed to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then either it is \(2\) or i am lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would say that makes it \(1:4\) but that's ok it is the only answer that makes sense to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're amazing
