Which is an example of an internal response to stimuli? A. A rabbit is approached by a predator. B. The body interprets a feeling of constant thirst. C. A rabbit evades a predator by running. D. The body quenches its thirst by drinking water.

D

Yep, B. It is a poorly worded question though. Each of those answers could or do involve an internal response. Technically though, A does not mention a response, only a situation. C is the same, just a situation that does involve responses but they are not mentioned. D is a bit tricky. The body losing a feeling of thirsty because of drinking is an internal response, but I think B is the best because it clearly involves the response and the stimulie: "...interprets a feeling of constant thirst." I only bring it all up so that you can see how you can work through problems, and how you can explain your reasoning to your teacher if you ever need to defend an answer. When I grade I am prone to giving back partial points, even for a wrong answer, if a student can clearly describe how and why (s)he ended up with that answer.

OpenStudy (cherry17ann):

Thank you for the explanation!

i changed my answer because i read constant thirst, which isn't really addressing the problem of a internal response to a stimuli. D is doing a better job because it is actually solving the stimuli and the internal response would be ur hydrated
